I wanted to do a serious write-up, but then I realized that most of it would involve “Then Tsukasa looked at Tsukushi with yearning, though she didn’t notice because she was off on another angstfest.” And that would not be fun at all. So, parodycap it is, though I love the series very much, it is prone to overdramatization and thus easy to mock.

Well, I think you already knew this was coming, so you know, not really a spoiler. I’m going to miss my mindlessly gratifying shoujo moments, aren’t I? (Don’t really want to watch the Kr version, will probably just read javabeans’ recaps.)

Okay, have been searching high and low since it came out in Japan on June 28th, but alas, no download links nor any streaming sites with csubs. I do have a plot teaser for you, however… It gets released in Taiwan at the end of August, so we may hope to see copies and subs in October (I am being optimistic here.) I’m also happy that it seems generally well-received in Japanese theatres.

Our beloved Tsukushi and Doumyouji met in high school and had a tumultuous relationship that ultimately ended happily, with Tsukushi accepting Doumyouji’s proposal during their graduation.

Four years later, Doumyouji announces at a press conference situated in a luxury hotel that he will wed Tsukushi formally in the coming spring. Doumyouji’s mother, who fiercely opposed the match in the beginning, has relented and given Tsukushi a priceless heirloom tiara called ‘The Smile of Venus‘, which has traditionally been passed from one Doumyouji bride to another.

That night, in her hotel room, Tsukushi is mesmerized by the glittering tiara (worth 10 billion yen) and cannot stop staring at it. Doumyouji senses her worry and comforts her, “Don’t worry, I will protect you all my life!” However, he is interrupted by a man in black breaking in by the window. He steals the tiara and disappears into the night. The two give chase, but they lose his tracks.

When the couple returns to the hotel, their room has gone back to normal, and even the glass of the window has been replaced. Outsiders gossip that Tsukushi lost the tiara but did not want to admit it. Doumyouji senses that once again, there is someone trying to interfering with his relationship with Tsukushi, to the point of suspecting even the hotel owner.

To find the priceless tiara, which also represents their eternal love, the two embark on a worldwide journey, from Las Vegas to Hong Kong, even to an abandoned island in the middle of the ocean. An adventure that will eventually involve all of the F4 unfolds…
