Go Apple for your laptop, it might be xpensive, but it’s totally worth it (trust me, we have a grand total of 4 Macs and 1 PC in my house.)

oh and i totally forgot to mention.. macs all the way. the macbook is very small, and lightweight, and it’s made for a more rougher lifestyle, ie. taking it around campus from class to class… it won’t die from a couple bumps and bruises.
the powerbook= expensive – but a powerful laptop, so if you’re running a lot of programs, it has a faster processor that will not choke up the computer
i myself, have the old ibook, that is almost 4 years old, but still in the best condition!
